MONALIZA STUDIOS MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT
a) Hours per month
This plan entitles the member to book 10 hours per month in the Brooklyn Skylight Studio at 23 Meadow Street, Brooklyn, NY 11206 (Second floor, Studio No.5).
b) Minimum commitment and membership cancellation
This plan has a 3 month minimum commitment. This plan renews automatically.
Cancellation is possible after the first 3 months are full. For cancellation of the membership, a cancellation notice has to be sent at least 14 days before the next billing cycle would start.
c) Booking calendar
The member has access to the online booking calendar. The booked time has to include all set up and wrap up time.
d) Minimum booking time and time of day
Each booking is subject to a 2 hour minimum. Bookings of 2 hours have to be placed before 12 PM or after 6 PM.
Bookings of 3+ hours can be placed any time.
The studio management reserves the right to ask members for the possibility to move a booking. This can happen in rare cases and only in order to accommodate booking requests paying half day/ full day rates. The member's flexibility supports the studio and opportunity to shoot for low rates themselves. The member reserves the right to decline the request.
e) Booking cancellation
Any cancellations and rescheduling have to be made 72 hours or more before the shoot start time. Any cancellations/ rescheduling made less than 72 hours before the shoot start time will count as used towards the member's account.
f) Commitment
Members show awareness of the fact that their booking is the studio's commitment to a date and time, which results in any other clients' booking requests ($100/hr) to be declined.
g) Purpose of booking
All booked hours have to be used for photo, video & art production of any kind. No private events are to be held in the space. The member has to be present at each booking.
h) Unused hours
Unused hours cannot be refunded.
i) Overtime
Overtime depends on availability. After 10 hours per month are used up, members can add extra hours for the 70% discounted hourly rate (= $30/hr).
j) Freezing a plan
After 3 months minimum commitment, the membership plan can be frozen once per member for up to 2 months. Freezing a plan has to be requested at least 30 days in advance.
k) Cleaning up & community responsibility
Monaliza Studios Members are part of a community who share the responsibility of keeping the space clean and maintained at all times. It is the member's responsibility to plan ahead enough wrap up time. All furniture, props and sets are to be moved back exactly as they were before. No garbage or leftovers are to be left in the studio. If the space is left messy or dirty, a minimum of $50 cleaning fee will be applied.
l) Furniture & props
The membership plan includes the use of all furniture and props inside the studio space. It excludes the use of any furniture, props and spaces outside the studio space (property of the landlord). The member understands that no props from the hallway and other spaces can be taken into the studio without approval. m) Damages
Any damages, stains and scratches of the furniture/ props and any breakage or loss of equipment has to be reported to the studio staff immediately with a photo and message to Kyra (929) 255-7520 or Samira (347) 365-0467. All damages are subject to be billed to the client.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
Monaliza Studios rents its facilities including limited equipment and furniture to its clients with the understanding that in no event shall Monaliza Studios, its owners, agents, employees, affiliated independent contractors, management, bookers, or any other related personnel, the company and any of its subsidiaries be held liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damage due to the use of this building, facility or equipment used by its customers.
The client agrees that all equipment is property of Monaliza Studios, LLC. All furniture and props are property of Monaliza Fine Furniture, Inc. Any damages, stains and scratches are subject to be billed to the client after inspection.
